It’s me, but the non-work me

Often in the same day.
It turns out taking a few corners close to 30 mph, elbow to elbow, teaches you as much about confidence as it does trust in others.
Roughly 10 months of every year, I am methodically training just to hit a start line a handful of times each year. Some might say I love the process more than the results. I’m starting to think they’d have a good argument…
Theres’s a lot of life lessons to be gleaned from bike racing, but the two that stick most with me are:

| Work smarter, not harder.

As an ardent supporter of Arsenal FC and the Philadelphia Union, my resiliency is tested often.
However, no matter the league position or team’s forms, I will forever admire the moment when the ebb and flow of teamwork culminates in a single, beautiful moment that can change the course of a game.
As a former defender, I hold the utmost respect for thankless jobs (on and off the pitch).
